The Whatcom Hispanic Organization is committed to our community by promoting opportunities for Hispanic/Latino involvement. As a culturally unique segment of our community it is our responsibility to participate in striving to maintain an environment, which is safe and healthy for all our citizens.

Our goal is to promote cultural understanding and sensitivity. By sharing our values and customs, and striving to understand the unique strengths of others fosters a foundation for a healthy and safe community. By doing so we build effective bridges of understanding and friendship.

By celebrating our Hispanic/Latino culture and promoting involvement in community service, and by advancing in the professional, educational and business sectors we are able to contribute fully. As a non-profit organization representing individuals of Hispanic/Latino descent we strive to reach out to individuals in the northwestern portion of Washington State.

Representing the Hispanic/Latino community on issues and concerns through advocacy and referral are important cornerstones of our program. Additionally, educational opportunities are central to our philosophy of inclusion.
