Latino Fest 2008

BELLINGHAM, Wa. -Please come and be part of the Whatcom Hispanic Organization’s 11th annual LATINO FEST 2008 in Bellingham, Washington at Assumption Church Gym.  Events start Saturday October 4  noon to 4pm with a Nonprofit Agency to Consumer Fair, October 5th from Noon-5:00 P.M. This year event is co-sponsored by Robinson & Kole Attorneys’ at Law and The Bellingham Herald.

Saturday, October 4^th: Nonprofit Agency to Consumer Fair: information booth,  free clothes, hair cuts, school supplies, intro to computer.

Sunday, Oct. 5^th

Noon to 2pm, Mariachi Ayutla, is a nationally recognized 11-member group from Seattle, Washington.

2pm to 3pm, Grupo Guelaguetza, Mexican folkloric dance group, directed by Irene Herrera, recognized widely for her oral interpretation of Mexican history, culture through authentic Mexican folk dancing.

3: pm Piñata for all ages.

4pm Talent contest and Raffle.
The day will be filled with music, raffle, and hot, tasty Mexican food, children’s activities, piñatas, arts & crafts and community informational booths ($1 donation or $5 for family).
